Next time I need a roof or siding or anything else, I'll look elsewhere. I can get this standard of work for much less money.
We decided to put siding on our house and contacted several companies for a quote. Michigan Builders weren't the lowest price but they told us about their good quality, workmanship, clean job etc so we decided to go with them. The sales guy told us about how they always kept the worksite clean, they had the best installers, that when they do a job you can tell it was done right compared to others, that there will be several meetings with the site manager, sales guy and us to make sure the job was to our satisfaction.
Reliable and get it get it done quick
All good so far and we were excited to get a better looking house. Then the workers showed up and since my wife is a teacher she was home for summer break and could observe the workers showing up around 9, work a little, take smoke breaks, lunch break and the leave between 3 and 4. It took them two weeks to get our house done!! When I got home I found cigarette packs on my stairs, with a lighter, the yard was full of small metal pieces that they dropped and their stuff was everywhere. I have two small kids and we had to be careful when we went outside because of the debris. The promised meeting never happened, the siding on my house looks just as bad as any other house in Adrian, and when the sales guy called (after they job was completed and the workers gone) to ask my wife if everything was ok, she said no and she said he almost cried. I had to call him back to explain to him what we were missing (the job around our front door was appalling) he reluctantly agree to come back and fix it. So much for being a great company that would make sure we were 110% satisfied with the job they did.
